SA Nanny was started by Erlo & Cathryn Duncan, out of their own experience & need as new parents in 2006. They experienced complications at the birth of their son, combined with a relapse of an existing condition, which prompted the need for Home Care services. Due to the need for good quality & reliable Care Workers to assist with care at home, the vision was born to start a Home Care Agency to provide quality training, instilling sound knowledge & skills to mainly the unemployed mothers of South Africa, & in so doing creating employment opportunities & a much needed service to others in need.

Through the years the Training Courses were refined & improved, by keeping up to date with the latest & best Baby Care trends, techniques & practices. In so doing, imparting only the best method & knowledge to students. The Agency works in partnership with Charity Organisations like the Salvation Army's Ethembeni Children's Home & Hospital in Doornfontein, where all students are required to do their practical training & assessment.
In this way, the Agency & all its students contribute in a small way to the community & gain valuable experience at the same time.
Elderly & Frail Care
In 2008, Cathryn's Grandmother had a hip replacement operation at the tender age of 91. SA Nanny sourced, screened & supplied qualified Care Workers to assist with the rehabilitation after the operation. It was a great success & she recovered completely. Out of this experience, the Elderly or Frail Care Services were started. Many patients over the years have benefited from this service & it has grown into one of their biggest Service requests by Customers.
